We recently used John’s Electrical Service for a two-story addition and remodel to our home. John was absolutely amazing to work with. From the initial walk through to the final installations of fixtures, John went above and beyond. John remembered every single ask or request from the walk through and made sure that each and every detail was addressed within our remodel. He was two steps ahead of us for each aspect of the project and gave us excellent recommendations along the way to ensure we were making the best choices for our project. His work is beautiful but John is also incredibly efficient throughout his work which helped to make project move quickly. We recently completed a kitchen renovation with John Cook Electric and had a great experience from start to finish. John recently installed new lighting, a ceiling fan, and several outlets in my home, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. They were professional, punctual, and the work was completed efficiently and cleanly, with attention to detail that really showed. All the fixtures are working perfectly, and they made sure to explain what they were doing and answer any questions I had. The work area was left tidy, and the pricing was fair.
John did the electrical work on our finished basement. He was knowledgeable, polite, communicative, professional, friendly, and did good, clean work. He gave us good suggestions and just laid it all out in a way that made sense. When we changed our minds on one or two things or added onto the project, he was totally cool with handling it. I rarely write reviews, however I felt the need to alert all that John Cook, owner of John's Electrical Services showed up at my mothers house on NFL Wildcard Weekend after promptly returning an emergency call for a required replacement/upgrade to an electrical panel, due to one bus bar out of service. He is prompt, honest, and a man of his word. No games, no sales reps, no solar panel up-sells, nothing except getting my mom back on track with a fair and fully explained price of services. John performed all the electrical services for our house renovation/ extension. He worked in every room and outside of our house, and one year out, not a single issue to report! Couldn’t be happier. John is so friendly (including to our dog), helpful, and knowledgeable- couldn’t recommend his services more. He even offered to come back out after the project wrapped once we had time to refurnish and hang our tv so that the wall outlet was in the right place that we wanted. We recently had our bathroom exhaust fan break and couldn’t find anyone we usually used to replace it so we saw John’s truck and called. He went over and above to come quickly and efficiently, only took about 1 hour and he gave us recommendations for a contractor to patch the ceiling since the new one is smaller. Explained everything so we could understand it easily. We will use him again!

We had a fire in the shut off panel for our HVAC overnight and I called John's Electrical around 7 am, he was able to get out in the middle of a heatwave within 4 hours of me calling him (even stopping for parts before he headed over). These guys saved the lives of me and my cats! I called John on Sunday and told him exactly what was going on. He immediately returned my call and came out the next day. Because I plugged a space heater into the regular outlet in my second BR, which immediately blew the fuse, I came extremely close to having a major house fire! John and his work partner (I forgot his name,) checked The breaker box and the outlets. They removed the one where I had plugged the heater in, just one time, and the wires were fried and the metal housing box was buckled from heat that was generated! They were professional, friendly, and reasonably priced. They were really two of the nicest guys as well. They will be doing some more work for me soon and also will be installing a designated outlet for my space heater! NEVER PLUG A SPACE HEATER INTO A REGULAR OUTLET!! I had an issue with power to half my kitchen going out. John answered my call and came out to attempt to diagnose the issue that same day. He determined that there must be a loose connection in a junction box, but my drywalled basement ceiling made it nearly impossible to determine where that box was located. Though John and his helper, Jimmy, spent well over an hour at my house, he didn't charge me anything since he couldn't find the problem. We agreed he'd come back a few days later to do a rewire which would take all day, but after an hour John found the issue and it was indeed loose wires held together by only electrical tape in a junction box next to a light fixture in the basement ceiling. John fixed the issue and was done in less than two hours, charging me only a third of what the anticipated fix would've been. He even took photos and a narrated video of the issue to share with me. I'm super happy with John's Electrical Services and he is now my go-to guy for anything electrical. I recommend him without reservation.

We recently bought a mid-century home in the Secane area that needed some fixture updates & had some previous DIY electrical work done. John and his helper Jimmy came in and did excellent work updating some lighting fixtures and looking into and diagnosing a wiring issue. John was very responsive in scheduling a time to come by, and did very professional work correcting some of the previous installations. He was also able to schedule a time to come back in the near future to investigate the wiring issue further. They were very friendly and professional and did a great job cleaning up as well. I can not say enough good things about John. My 85 year old mother in law who has dementia needed lots of electrical upgrades and repairs in her home. Knowing we had to work around her sleep/ good times schedule was something we worried about. John was understanding and said he would do whatever was needed on his end to accommodate us. John started with the essential items to make ours and mother in laws life easier. He went on to troubleshoot harder issues and quickly fixed those as well. He showed us what efficient fixtures he was going to get and asked for our approval. John and his helper were very professional , clean and courteous. John even took the time to swing by at night to make sure we were happy with the adjustments on the outdoor lights he installed. He wanted to be there in case we needed them adjusted. Since we may have put him through a little extra by having to deal with our schedule we were expecting a high price. We were wrong. John’s pricing was awesome. I am happy to say we found an electrician we can trust
John Cook did an amazing job for me re-wiring outdoor boxes, finding dangerous wiring problems, and worked efficiently and left no mess. He is also a very nice man, willing to do more than asked. I also found his bill for a long day's work more than reasonable. Highly recommended!
2nd time dealing with John, even better than the 1st time. Whole new service and 200 Amp circuit breaker box as well as numerous other items. All went smoothly and he would show me as he would complete the items on the list.

I dont know where to start. I stumbled across this guy thru a Google search spoke with him for 10 min and realized this guy knows what he is talking about. He answered all my questions. Made an appointment for electrical issue i had no power upstairs. He showed up before his 9am appointment time got right to work. He found the issue and fixed it in a few hours. This guy is the greatest person i have ever dealt with. I will never call another electrician again. I cant possibly say enough good things about the owner john. I just had John put a new electrical system in my house. He is well worth the wait. His employees couldn't be better than they are. I would never hesitate to refer him to anybody.

John and his helper upgraded my outdoor GFC outlet . They came on time and were neat and professional. This outlet controlled my outdoor pole lamp where we had an additional outlet that did not work. John fixed a loose connection and we look forward to being able to now use this for Christmas lights etc.

We’ve used John for several projects, and he’s helped us out enormously - I can’t recommend him enough. He’s always come through for us with top notch work and he even takes the time to walk you through every option and explain everything as he goes. Exemplary service. John was polite, friendly, clean and professional. The job was done quickly and well. The only drawback is that the job was extremely expensive. My daughter got the same job done the next day for much less.
Had an issue with one of our switches. John came out the same day I called to make sure all was well, capped everything and then finished once all the necessary parts came in.

I needed an electrician to replace a breaker panel at a rental unit and found John via Google (maps). We coordinated schedules quickly and he was able to meet me later the same day at the property. His vehicle was clean and tidy, as was his personal appearance. He quickly assessed what was needed, we discussed the extent of the work, and he provided a written estimate within a few hours via email. His estimate was right where I expected it to be for the work that was needed. Because there was a significant issue with existing panel, John adjusted his schedule for the next day in order to come out to do the work. The end result of the work was excellent. He took care of filing all permits as well. I am glad to have made his acquaintance and appreciate the excellent job that he and his worker did.
John responded quickly to our request for a quote - which is a rare thing these days. He showed up on the scheduled day (sent a text the night before to confirm) and delivered the services he promised. We will be contacting John for our future electrical business needs.

I hired John to do various electrical jobs in my house I just purchased. These jobs included installing outlets for appliances, installing multiple overhead LED lights in 5 different rooms, hanging chandeliers, switching a 100 amp panel box to a 200 amp panel box, running all new outside lines into the house, etc. You name he did it. He even came out on a unscheduled day when I was in a pinch when the fence installers cut the power by accident that goes to my garage. Every day John showed up on time, every time. John finished the jobs ahead of schedule and the quality of work exceeded my expectations. Went on the internet to hopefully find a reputable electrician that was friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I had intentions of calling more than one electrician so that I could have a better feel for who stood out from the crowd, but I only made the one call and John was that person. I left him a message and he was prompt in getting back to me. We set up a time for him to look over the work I needed done and he arrived on the scheduled day and time to give me an estimate for the various issues that needed to be fixed. As it turns out, I'm glad I didn't call anyone else. John was very polite, friendly and very informative. When you meet John, he makes you feel very comfortable and confident that you will be very satisfied with his work. So, with that being said, I hired him on the spot with no regrets. I'm extremely happy with the work he did. He even noticed that my breaker box was not properly wired and without hesitation made the necessary corrections. It's like he read my mind knowing it was a safety issue. I will definitely hire John again for any future projects. It's a no brainer.

John and Brandon worked on my company's lights over the course of a few months, or I should say- one very problematic light. There was an issue on our end about getting the proper part, but each time John and Brandon came back out they were patient, and friendly with us. They got the work done efficiently, and quietly!
